Virginia Levitt Obituary

Virginia Jones Levitt---88, passed away peacefully July 12, 2021. She was born December 15, 1932 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late William and Ruth (Bechtel) Jones.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Howard Levitt and her sister, Shirley Latshaw, of Columbus, OH.  She is survived by her sons, Joseph Levitt (wife, Francesca Contino) of Danville, IN and William Charles Levitt (wife, Yvonne Stark) of St. David, AZ, and her grandchildren, Anna Levitt and Eric Martin Levitt (wife, Saliha Stewart), of Indianapolis, IN.  Virginia graduated from Walnut Hills High School, Wooster, OH, class of 1950, and Central Academy of Commercial Art, Cincinnati, OH in 1952. A life-long resident of Cleveland, OH, Virginia was a career woman at a time when women rarely pursued careers outside the home. Retail advertising and fashion were her life-long passions and she was a highly sought-after advertising director for over thirty-eight years by the largest department stores in the United States, such as Marshall Fields, Famous Barr and the May Company.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Pittsboro, Indiana.  All are encouraged to share thoughts, prayers, and memories with Virginia's family on her memorial page found on the funeral home's website, www.ericmdbellfuneralhome.com .
