Shirley Mae Padgett Gollmer

Shirley Mae Padgett Gollmer passed away on December 26, 2020.  Shirley was born on November 8, 1950 to James and Helen (DeLong) Burns.  She graduated from Brownsburg High School and really enjoyed her career as an administrative specialist for the IU School of Social Work.  She liked to travel, crochet, and most of all, spend time with her beloved family. 

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Padgett; her second husband, Larry Gollmer; and her sister, Doris Zimmerman.  She is survived by her son, Brian (wife Alicia) Padgett; her brother, Melvin (wife Jo Ella) Burns; her two grandchildren, Blake and Ava; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana.  Shirley will be laid to rest in Brownsburg Cemetery following the service.

In accordance with the statewide mandate, all in attendance are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.  For those who are unable to attend, the service will be available to view on Facebook Live on the Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home's Facebook Page beginning at the same time the service starts at 1 pm on December 31st.  It will be recorded and viewable at any time.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society (IndyHumane).
