Sharon Lawson Obituary

The following is an obituary written by Sharon Kay Lawson's loving family:

Sharon Kay Lawson (Willoughby) passed away December 31, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was 75 years old.

Sharon was born April 7, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN. She was an accomplished nurse, having worked for 25 years caring for others. She loved Elvis and John Wayne movies and never passed up the chance to play and cuddle with her grandbabies. She had the biggest heart, always putting others first and making sure everyone she met was treated like family. She never knew a stranger and has impacted countless lives with her kindness, strength, and sincerity. She was larger than life and will be greatly missed by all those she touched.

Sharon is survived by her bonus mom, Betty Willoughby; her children, Kaywana Vaughn, Kristi (Andrew) Lippard, Amanda (Chad) Lawson, and Dakota (Jasmine) Vaughn; her forever companion, John Jones; her grandchildren, Amber (Robbie) Garrett, Allyson (Austin) Lawrence, Adam Lippard, Alexis Jobe, Carly (Nic) Booth, Autumn Lippard, Matthew Booth, Khloi Spaulding, Amelia Vaughn, Londyn Jobe, Memphis Lippard, and Roland Vaughn; her great-grandchildren, Laila, Cadman, and Lorelai Gilliam; her brother Charles (Susan) Willoughby; her sisters, Kathy Jackson, Connie Keathley, Cheryl (Joe) Abbed, Aleta (Ray) Garcia, and Yvonna Carnieri; her dear friend, Hugh Abel; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Wise; her father, Charles Willoughby; her bonus father, Ron Wise; her sister, Patricia Rose; her daughter, Melissa Lawson; and her granddaughter, Brittany Booth.
