Ladonna Gilbert

Ladonna Gilbert, 94 of Brownsburg, Indiana, peacefully passed away in her home on May 23, 2023.  Ladonna was born on January 28, 1929, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Thomas F. and Ruth (Nickerson) Gregg.  She graduated from Anderson High School and worked as a nurse's aide for Community Hospital Anderson. 

Ladonna loved her cats, Lucky, Maggie, and Misty.  Our Mimi was the best, and she was very good at lovingly spoiling her family.  She had her own little card “ministry”.  She loved brightening people’s and family member’s days with them.  She LOVED stickers, so no card was received until it was given just the right amount of the perfect stickers for that person and occasion.  She was the epitome of a loving, God-fearing mama.

Ladonna was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Nancy; her first husband, Howard E. Stohler; her second husband, James Gilbert; and her brothers, Ronald Gregg and Jack "John" Gregg.

She is survived by her son, Michael Stohler; her daughter, Joanna (Gary) Godfrey; her granddaughter, Gayle (Mike) Bruce; her grandson, Lee (Brandy) Godfrey; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bruce, Hayden Bruce, Norah Godfrey, and Eva Godfrey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ladonna's family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.
