Jerry “Rivers” Howard

Jerry “Rivers” Howard, 73 of North Salem, Indiana passed away peacefully, October 9, 2022, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. 
 

A loving tribute from the family:

This last month has been the hardest but wouldn’t have it any other way. My sweet daddy Jerry aka “Rivers” lost his battle yesterday to multiple cancers. He was the strongest man I knew. Fighting from the time you were born. For those of you that didn’t know. My dad was one of the first skin grafts as a baby that General Hospital ever had back in the early 50’s. His real parents tried to kill him as a baby. He went through 15 operations on his face from the time he was 18 months to about the age of 15. Life was hard but he always tried to make the best of it. The last 10years you had to fight again. From a triple by pass in 2012 , prostate cancer 2013, Mets to lungs 2018, a third cancer to bones, liver and lymph nodes 2022. Your fight is over daddy. Fly high and know you were so loved and will be dearly missed. RIP Jerry Howard  ❤️❤️
