Harold Edwin Hudlow

June 10, 1928 ~ May 15, 2022 (age 93)

Obituary

Harold Edwin Hudlow, 93, passed peacefully on May 15, 2022, in the presence of loved ones. Harold was born June 10, 1928, in Wea, Indiana to James Harrison Hudlow, Sr. and Vivian Leota Sheets. He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Cecilia Burldene Wilson.

Harold lived and worked in his hometown of West Lafayette, Indiana prior to moving to Carmel, Indiana after retirement. He was a graduate of West Lafayette High School and Purdue University, where as a member of ROTC he served in the occupation force in Germany. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and was the past president of Lafayette Rotary Club.  He was also the president of Indiana Dry Cleaner’s Association as co-owner of his family business, Hudlow’s Dry Cleaners.

He loved family above all else, finding joy in time spent together. Along with his love of family, he had a deep love of people, never meeting a stranger. He enjoyed music, playing piano, biking the Monon Trail, and sharing time with friends. He is survived by his siblings, James Harrison (wife Martha) Hudlow, Jr. and Carole Ann (husband Tom) Bloodgood.  He leaves three daughters, Marcia Pratt of Carmel, Indiana, Cynthia (husband Dan) Teder, and Janet (husband Jeff) Workinger of Zionsville, Indiana.

He will be remembered with love by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will pass his legacy on with fondness for years to come.

A private service will be held for Harold at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
