He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving his country from 1958-1966. He was very proud of his military background and loved his country. He was a long-time member of the American Legion, Post 286 in Orlando. He obtained an Associates in Business from Jones College in Orlando, FL. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Medley was an accomplished Alto Saxophonist and has played in several different bands. He loved music and could name the oldies in just a few notes. He was an avid bowler and received several awards through the years. He also enjoyed golf and was meticulous in the care of his lawn and home. He loved to watch old western movies and was an avid reader. He loved dogs, especially rescue dogs. He bought bulk corn and fed the ducks in the pond behind his house, every day at 4:00. He moved back to Indiana June 2021, to be near family and to reconnect with loved ones. He moved to Orlando, FL in 1971 and was hired by Disney World when they first opened in 1971. Gary’s last position was with ECC, where he was a manager in the department that manufactured tank and airplane simulators for the military to train enlisted personnel.

Gary is survived by his children, Sherri (Tom) Replogle and Gary Medley Jr.; his five grandchildren, Scott, Kristen, Joshua, Christopher and Hannah; his sister, Rita Sue Hodges; and his faithful dog, Max.
