Brenda Sue Virt

Brenda Sue Virt, 72 of Pittsboro, Indiana, passed away on September 23, 2022.  The following is a life story written by her loving family.

Brenda Sue Weatherford Virt, age 72, passed away September 23, 2022, from complications of a pulmonary embolism and stroke. Sue was born May 7, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Cyril Leonard Weatherford and Winona Hall Weatherford. She married Danny M. Gann Sr. in 1968 and together they had three children, Danny Michael Gann Jr., Jennifer Lynn Gann (Burns), and Stacey Leigh Gann.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Danny, and her third husband, Michael W. Virt; her brother, Raymond Edward Weatherford; her grandchild, Eleanor Paige Gann; and her faithful German Shepherd, Duchess. Sue retired from the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler in 2018 after over 30 years of service.

Sue is survived by her children, Michael, Jennifer, and Stacey; her grandchildren, BreAunna Suzanne Gann (Hill), Katherine Marie Gann (Carlino), Devin Michael Moran, Meranda Nickole Gann (Wrigley), Natalia Leigh Gann, Camdyn Claire “Ollie” Gann, and Trevor Bennett Gann; her great-grandchildren, Addison, Miloh, Averie, Brynlie, Jase, Sawyer, Briar, Carson, Marleigh, Lincoln, Lorelei, Camilla, Bennett, and Lenyx; her siblings, Georgia, Janis, Judith, Marilyn, Rebecca, Louis, Ronald, and James; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sue did not wish to have a funeral service. Her children are planning a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
