Brad R. Kinder, 83 of Danville, IN peacefully passed away in his home on Thursday October 19, 2023. He was born February 12, 1940 to parents Glen and Mary Kinder.
Brad grew up in Greenfield, IN with his brother and sisters. He married Mary Johnson, the love of his life, on September 8, 1981. They were inseparable in life and loved each other dearly.
Brad was a businessman, owning and operating two laundromats with his wife for many years. He was an avid gardener and grew the best and biggest tomatoes each year in their massive garden. Brad loved model trains, and even dedicated an entire garage to his model railroading landscape. Brad very much loved family gatherings, where he would play horseshoes, jarts, and endless card games. He and Mary took countless road-trip adventures in their younger days. Brad could always be found on Sundays watching a NASCAR or Indycar race, or of course fishing.
Brad is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Kinder, daughter Mary Sturm, sister Beverly Masters (Tommy), many nephews and nieces, extended family Margaret Curtis and Robert Johnson, and grand kiddos: Lesa Nelson (Brad Poreda) (Mark Nelson), Alana Johnson, Anastasia Curtis, Tatiana Curtis, great-grand kiddos: Alyssa Nelson, Nate Johnson.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sue Thompson and Kay Kiskaden, and brother William Kinder.
