Anthony Roberts Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Roberts, 70 of Lizton, Indiana, peacefully passed away with his loved ones by his side on July 22, 2021.  Tony was born on August 5, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana and was lovingly raised by Otis and Mary Boody.  He graduated in 1974 from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor's in Education and later returned to earn a Master's in Industrial Arts.  He faithfully served his country in the United States Army and used his degrees to become a master woodworker and junior high shop teacher.  He even wrote a textbook on the subject.  Tony was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church for over 21 years and he enjoyed classic cars, traveling and seeing new things, having fun at fairs and eating all the good food fairs have to offer, exploring outdoors, and coaching football.  Most of all, Tony adored his family.  He had an incredible bond with his twin brother, Alan.  He cherished his children and grandchildren and greatly enjoyed attending their sporting events. He and his beloved wife, Donna, shared a beautiful life together full of wonderful memories.

In addition to his foster parents, Tony is preceded in death by his brothers, David Young and Vaughn Young.

Tony is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Courtney (husband Aaron) Davis, and Austin (wife Winter) Roberts; his step-children, Chris Lee, Theresa (husband Bryan) Komlanc, and Brett (wife Karma) Lee; his grandchildren, Jeremy (wife Ciara) Komlanc, Nathan Komlanc, Madison (husband Alex) Hutchinson, Brayton Lee, Nick Komlanc, Marissa Lee, Matthew Komlanc, Ava Davis, Colton Davis, and Beau Roberts; his great-grandchildren, Lucas and Ben Komlanc; his twin brother, Alan (wife Linda) Roberts; his siblings, Jeff Young, Walter "Tudy" Young, Kenny Young, Barbara Zachary, Laura Wright, and Joe Young; his brother-in-law, David Archer; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 4 pm until the time of the Celebration of Life at 5 pm, officiated by Pastor Jim Littlejohn.
