Wanda Jones

Wanda K. Jones, 89, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at Wellbrooke of Avon.

Born March 5, 1937, to Esten Carl (Jack) and Zelma Lee Pullum, she was the youngest of six children. She was raised on a farm in Hymera, Indiana. She attended Hymera High School, where she met the love of her life, Wayne Jones. They married in 1955 and moved to Kansas, where they started a family. A few years later, they returned to Indianapolis to raise their four children: Kim Vanlandingham, Keith Jones (Georgetta, deceased), David Jones (Susan), and Greg Jones. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings.

Wanda enjoyed being a homemaker, wife, and mother. She loved cooking and trying new recipes, as well as gardening, sewing, and quilting.

In over 65 years of marriage, Wayne and Wanda enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family. Wanda especially loved spending time with her grandchildren—Mike, Candace, Bree, Jared, Ryan, and Ashley—and her great-grandchildren—Hunter, Jesse, Jackson, Addie, Benjamin (deceased), Rose, Aidan, Parker, Kayla, and Ethan.

Memorial gifts or donations in Wanda's memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Eric MD Bell Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Brownsburg Cemetery.
