Teresa Ann Stout Ruark

August 2, 1963 — May 14, 2026

Teresa Ann Stout Ruark, 62, of Clayton, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Danville, Indiana.

Teresa was a devoted wife and a loving mom, aunt, sister, and daughter. She was adventurous in life and loved to socialize with her family and friends. Married to her husband, Jim, for 38 years, the two were inseparable. She was full of laughter, loved having a good time, and never met a stranger. Teresa had a light in her that nothing could ever dim; she was truly the kind of person you meet once in a lifetime.

She was always the first one willing to get in the car and try something new. Everyone who met Teresa loved her, and she was incredibly kindhearted to all those around her. She found joy in the simple things: thrifting at Goodwill, drinking her coffee, and being outside in the sun. Teresa worked as a home health aide for years, and her clients adored her. She was the life of the party, loved her animals, and was a great cook. Teresa will be deeply mourned and missed terribly by everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Teresa leaves behind her husband, James Ruark Jr.; her son, James Ruark III; her siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends. Until we meet again.
