Raymond W. Lynch

Raymond Wayne Lynch of Williamsport, Indiana, passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 70. Ray was raised in Lizton, Indiana, resided in Pittsboro, Indiana, and graduated from the last class of North Salem High School (Blue Devils) in 1975. He had been retired from Texas Eastern Pipeline since 2021. He was a man who left a lasting impression on the lives of the people who knew and loved him.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly (Day) and Michael Lynch, along with several aunts and uncles.

Ray and Monica (Briskey/Burkett) shared 18 years together, building a life filled with love, friendship, laughter, family, and countless memories. On October 31, 2022, they made their love official in true Ray and Monica fashion, getting married by Elvis in Las Vegas on Halloween.

Ray proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1975 to 1981, when he was granted an honorable discharge. He was also a member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post #331. His military service was an important part of his life, and he will be honored with military honors.

Ray loved his sports and music—just about everything except Country, which he reminded everyone every chance he had! Music was always a part of his life, and he was a shoe-in during music trivia. He enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and family whenever possible. He was also passionate about his Jeeps and took great pride in making sure everything was ready, prepared, stocked, and “squared away.” If Ray said he was prepared, you could bet he was.

Above all, Ray was a loving and caring husband to Monica, a wonderful grandfather, and "bonus dad." He was also a good friend to the many people fortunate enough to know him. He had his own way of doing things, his own personality, and a way of becoming part of people’s lives that made him impossible to forget.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Monica; his brother and sisters, Terry, Michelle, Jana, and Donna; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; stepson Sean (Summer); grandchildren Logan, Leah, Levi, Laci, Brody, and Jaydon (Mason); and great-grandchildren Wrenley, River, and his very special Best Friend and grandchild, Cobain.

Ray will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who loved him. His memory will live on in the music he loved, the stories and laughter shared with friends and family, the many Jeeps throughout the years he was so proud of, and most of all, in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call him husband, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Inurnment services with military honors will be held at Crown Hill National Cemetery Annex, located at 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
