Rand “Wolfman” Atkinson - 62
Rand Linton passed away peacefully on August 15, 2019 with his children and friend by his side. He has 2 wonderful boys Alexander Linton (22) and Nicholas Drake (21). He is also survived by the mother of his boys, Christine Nicole Plank.
Rand was born on May 4, 1957 to Ronald Linton Atkinson and Phyllis Stierwalt in Indianapolis. Rand is survived by his younger sister Sarah (Jay) Reddick, and younger brother Brad Atkinson. Rand proudly lived his entire life in Lawrence, IN. He loved spending summer days during his childhood at his familys’ cabin in Clay City with his siblings and Aunt Betty. He loved playing hockey, ice skating, tap dancing, martial arts and swimming. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1976.
Rand was the warranty and parts specialist for Family Leisure and Watson’s corporate headquarters for the last 15 years. Rand previously worked at Lowe’s and Central Hardware.
Rand earned his nickname “Wolfman” in his 20’s and 30’s while working security, protecting Indy’s adult clubs and dancers. Nobody messed with Wolfman!
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, August 21 in Seals Funeral Home in Fortville, Indiana where friends and family will gather from 11 am until the time of the service. Interment and a brief committal service at Crown Hill Cemetery will immediately follow.
Arrangements are in the care of Funeral Director, Eric MD Bell.
