Obituary

Lance Allen Lindley, 48, of Danville, IN passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in Avon, IN, with his loving family by his side. Lance, affectionately known as "LL," was born on September 27, 1977, in Danville, Indiana, to his parents, Dwight and Cindy. As a child, Lance was known for being funny and very particular about his things. He held a special collection of ball caps from his grandfather; each day he would meticulously pick one out to wear and then place his favorite cowboy hat on top, becoming “the boy who wore two hats,” as his mother would say. Lance took pride in arranging his possessions in very specific ways, sometimes even creating shrines for his idols. He spent his childhood playing in the woods and creeks with his siblings and neighbors, playing baseball for his favorite coach—his dad—and making his family and friends laugh.

Lance had a deep love for music and would become incredibly passionate about certain songs, playing them repeatedly. Among his favorites were The Beach Boys and Johnny Cash. He was happiest spending time with his father on the farm. From tending to the garden and helping his grandpa with odd jobs to driving the tractor, Lance was truly at his best when he was helping those he loved.

Lance is survived by his parents, Dwight and Cindy Lindley; his brother, Scott Lindley (Shelby Gillaspy); his sister, Megan (Sam) Tolen; his three children, Blake Lindley, Tanner Stamm, and Madielynn Lindley; his niece, Valerie Tolen; his nephew, Maverick Tolen; his significant other, Michelle Lindley; and his beloved dog and friend, Tyson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Eric MD Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM following the visitation. A graveside service and burial will follow at the Lizton K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.

Lance will forever be in our hearts and memories.

“You’ve got a way to keep me on your side, You give me cause for love that I can’t hide, For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide, Because you’re mine, I walk the line.” — Johnny Cash
