John Michael George

John Michael George, 80 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on July 14, 2025.  John was born on March 17, 1945, in Bedford, Indiana, to parents John and Cleo Anita (Blackburn) George.  After graduating from George Washington High School, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army in the Medical Corps.  He continued to bravely serve others in his career as a professional firefighter.

Friends and family will gather on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home, from 1 pm to 2 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2 pm.  John will be laid to rest with military honors in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana, on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11 am. 

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
