Jamen Ray Shelley, 47 of Pittsboro, passed away unexpectedly May 20, 2018.

Jamen was born February 18, 1971 in Mountain Grove, MO to Thomas Shelley and Josie (McMinn) Holzberlein. He was a graduate of Coble, High School and was employed by Refractory Engineers and Ceramic Technology, where he was well regarded and respected as an extremely talented Refractory Specialist.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife, Cassandra (Kernodle) Shelley; children, Sasha (husband Zachary) Shelley-Truett, Mikayla (husband Austin) Shelley-Green, Brock Shelley and Miraha Shelley; step-children, Alexa Page, Krista Lollar, and Bryan Heater; siblings, Travis Shelley, Angie, and Tiffany; step-siblings, Karrie and Kevin Holtze; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Shelley.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 12 pm, June 16, 2018 at the David A. Hall Mortuary, where friends and family will gather from 10 am until the time of the Life Celebration.

The family requests memorial gifts be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
