Jacquelyn R. Royer

Sep 7, 1932 — Oct 10, 2026

Brownsburg, Indiana

Jacquelyn Royer, 94 of Brownsburg, IN, moved to her heavenly home October 10, 2026. She was born September 7, 1932, in Oolitic, Indiana, to Russell and Eva (Duncan) Roby. Her siblings, Barbara (John) Smith and Jerry Roby, preceded her in death. Her brother, Tommy D. (Daria) Roby, Sterling, Virginia, survives.

Jackie married the love of her life, Robert Royer, who survives, April 6, 1952. They were parents to three daughters: Debbie (Rusty) Wilson, Vicki (Chuck) Ruhmann, and Becky (Roch) Richardson. They were blessed with eight grandchildren: Shannon (Jay) LeBlanc, Ashley (Mark) Dougherty, Brodi LaRoche, Kelsey (Mark) Halsey, Garrett (Brittni) Ruhmann, Zach (Emily) Richardson, Alex (Grace) Richardson, and Morgan (Cory) Foreman; twenty-three great-grandchildren (two in heaven); and four great-great-grandchildren.

Jackie was blessed with the gift of hospitality. Nothing made her happier than hosting get-togethers for her large family, friends, or church groups, making sure everyone left with a full stomach and lots of leftovers. One granddaughter jokes that Grandma Jackie could take just a few items from the fridge and whip up a beautiful banquet for a crowd.

She was one of the most giving people you could know, and had trouble accepting a gift for herself without trying to pass it on to someone else who might need it... or give it back to the giver.

She was a talented lady and joyfully designed flowers and decor for weddings of family members.

She loved Christmas, and over the years made dozens of Santa decorations, which she gifted to friends and family.

Jackie loved the Lord and instilled that love in her children and grandchildren. She was always fixing meals for a sick friend or widowed neighbor, and included her grandkids in delivering those meals.

She loved her family. She loved Bob. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.

She will be laid to rest in Bethesda Cemetery with a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hendricks County. All are encouraged to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
