"We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, that day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
Ethan Heminger, 21 of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away unexpectedly, July 22, 2023.
The following story of life was proudly written by Ethan’s sister and brother:
Ethan Wiley Heminger leaves behind his beloved uncle, best friend, and forever hunting partner, Doug Frazier; his father and mother, Elijah & Kelly Heminger; younger brother, Jonas Heminger; older sister and brother-in-law, Kelsey Kite & Blake Brown along with their three children, Remi, Johnna and soon expected third; his grandparents, Emmalene & Arthur Heminger; as well as John & Trix Timm; his only maternal aunt, Kim Melton; along with many aunts, uncles & cousins. Ethan is proceeded in death by Sue Wiley-Timm & Gerald Melton, along with others.
Ethan was exactly who he was. He stood on, walked on, many grounds in his lifetime. He never faltered, he never had fear; Ethan was stronger than strong, both inside and out. The amount you could learn from such a young man was unmatched by anyone, a soul far beyond his years. Ethan had this amazing quality to him, taking everything to heart, and he meant everything he said with such certainty. He had such passion and took so much pride in being a teacher and leader for the things he cherished.
Ethan’s life was full of the wilderness. He found happiness and peace in hunting, fishing, and life survival skills to use the earth to provide for himself and his family. Ethan was extremely active. He would be working his ass off with his dad and brother, exercising & trekking 100+ lbs bags of his equipment, hunting/fishing & being an avid collector. Most of all, Ethan lived for the seasons; his holidays were opening days-hunting seasons including rifling deer, squirrel and his most favorites turkey and coyote which he lived for celebrating.
But today, we have to say goodbye, but only to his physical body that so thrived in that wilderness.
Because Ethan has left and continues to leave behind such a strong imprint in every life he has touched. He will never ever be forgotten, but instead always remembered for the true light he still is. Ethan is still, and always will be, so deeply loved, forever.
