Donald M. Jarrett 91 from Avon, Indiana formerly from Lizton. Passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021 at Majestic Care of Avon. Don was born on July 19, 1930 in Coatesville, Indiana to Orville and Virgilene (Church) Jarrett. He graduated high school in 1948 and then married Vera Madge (Hadley) Jarrett on August 14, 1953. A loving union that lasted 67 almost 68 years.
Don served in the Army from July 6, 1952- April 24, 1953 during the Korean War. He worked at Allison's in Indianapolis for 40+ years. He enjoyed his time vacationing, playing cards, and was a member of the New Brunswick Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceeded in death by his loving wife Madge Jarrett, a brother Bob Jarrett, a sister Normagine (Jarrett) Pritchett and a grandson Justin Jarrett. He is survived by a sister Shirley (Jarrett) Bragg, 2 sons Kent (Sharon) Jarrett and Gene Jarrett, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home from 4pm-7pm for visitation. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 1pm at New Brunswick Christian Church in Lebanon. Indiana following the service. Don will be laid to rest in K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
