The following is an obituary written by Brenda’s loving family.
Brenda Sherman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on January 27, 1961, and passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, father, and brother, whom she held close in her heart throughout her life. Brenda devoted her life to her faith and caring for others, especially her family. She was a devoted mother whose love, strength, and guidance shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support were felt by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Tina (Marty); her son, Joshua (Sara) and daughter, Amber (Jon); and her three cherished grandchildren, Kierra, Wesley, and Isabella, who were the light of her life. She cherished her relationships with her nephew, Chad (Sarah); and nieces, Jamie (Nate) and Stephanie (Nick). She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever remember her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and deep love.
Brenda Sherman will be remembered for her compassion, resilience, and the countless ways she made others feel seen and valued. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared so freely.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration or to Pittsboro Baptist Church.
Friends and family will gather for visitation at Pittsboro Baptist Church beginning at 10 am on Saturday, January 10, 2026, with the memorial service beginning at 11 am. Everyone is invited to join the family for a luncheon hosted by Pittsboro Baptist Church immediately following the service. Brenda will be laid to rest privately.
Arrangements are entrusted to Eric MD Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hendricks County. All are encouraged to keep Brenda’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
