Barbara Sue (Linton) Tucker, 85 of Brownsburg, Indiana, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, January 17, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

Barbara was born in Pittsboro, Indiana on November 26, 1934 to Fred and Mary Ann (Routh) Linton.  She graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina and became a typist at the Fort Harrison Finance Center in Lawrence, Indiana.  She married the love of her life, Marvin Tucker, on August 15, 1954.  She then became a loving homemaker and mother, and she also babysat for several children in the area.   After Marvin purchased their well-known local restaurant, Tucker’s Corner Restaurant, she kept busy running things there for 17 years before retiring.

After Marvin and Barbara’s children were raised and out of the house, they became exchange student parents.  They successfully had 57 students in their time of hosting.  They were also founding members of New Testament Baptist Church, which is now known as Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Brownsburg.  Marvin and Barbara were the only two remaining founding members.  Barbara was a piano and organ player for the church for 30 years.  In addition to church activities, she loved solving crossword puzzles and cooking delicious meals.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Marvin Tucker; her children, Darrell Tucker (wife Sherri) of Whiteland and Dan Tucker (wife Rhonda) of Brownsburg; daughter-in-law, Judy Tucker; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her children, Phil "Big-Tuck" Tucker and Marla Flowers, Dennis Tucker; as well as her siblings, Ruth Para, Carol Herron, and Raymond Linton.
